As you may know by now, there are many different ways to monitor your HIIT intervals, but none better than by heart rate.

HIIT relies on alternating between 90%+ max heart rate and ~60% max heart rate to be effective. The HIIT Interval Calculator will allow you to input your age and see exactly what heart rate you should be hitting on your HI intervals and your Active Rest intervals.
